Bhim Sunuwar Rai is an experienced and knowledgeable individual who has been collaborating with Iconic Himalaya Adventure in numerous big and small projects for about 15 years. And he has been working with us in official capacity for around 6 years.
Like many who embark on a trekking career, Bhim started as a camp setup assistant, then worked as a cook before progressing to a trekking guide. He obtained his trekking license in 2009 AD, and since then he has amassed a lot of experience, and consequently credibility in his trekking career. He is fluent in English and has received all essential training pertaining to trekking, including First Aid certification.
Bhim is originally from Bhojpur, a place famous for its metal work, particularly the world famous Nepali Khukuri knives. Currently, he is a resident of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. At 45 years old, he is the oldest and the most experienced member of our team. His extensive experience makes him highly knowledgeable about all trekking routes, both traditional and new, including their features, terrain, climate, and accessibility. He is a person of exceptional work ethic and dedication. His values align seamlessly with the ethics and principles of Iconic Himalaya Adventure, making him an integral member of the team.
